Talks aim to help disabled

LOCAL families who have children with learning disabilities are to rub shoulders with world-leading experts at a conference next year.

It is hoped the conference in Glasgow in March will help reform education and social policy across the country, and provide help and hope for the thousands of Lothians families affected. Sophie Dow, from Musselburgh, is one parent who will attend the summit.

She said: "The conference will allow health and education professionals, specialists, parents and carers to share and increase knowledge and understanding of all kinds of minds."
