Talk focuses on dementia

LATEST developments in dementia research will be presented at a city lecture later this month.

The Alzheimer's Research Trust will hold the event at Edinburgh University's School of Informatics on Crichton Street on 31 May. Leading scientists will present updates on various projects from around the world looking into a disease which is expected to become more of a burden on public health spending across the Lothians.

Dr Karen Horsburgh, a neuroscientist from the university, will be among the speakers.

She said: "We will give an overview of the latest developments in dementia research."
