Takeaway kebab contained larva

COOKED beetle larva was found in a kebab purchased from an Edinburgh city centre takeaway.

Council officials visited the Olympus on Elm Row, following a food complaint. They found evidence of mouse and Larder beetle activity.

Owner Hasan Gundogdu was fined 450 when he was found guilty of each of three charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
