Take a seat for choir's Ikea gig

IT MAY be a superstore for home comforts but Ikea Edinburgh will be furnished with a pre-Fringe performance from an assembly of hip choristers this weekend.

Sing in the City choir, which performs all manner of rock and pop classics, hopes to hit the right notes at a warm-up gig at the Straiton outlet on Saturday and Sunday.

A spokesperson said: "You will be entertained with a passionate selection of fun, popular songs from all genres. You will be engaged from the moment the first chord is struck."
