T in Park reveller hid drugs in sandwich

A FESTIVAL-goer has been fined £400 after being caught trying to get into T in the Park with a cannabis and ecstasy sandwich.

Elliott Scott, 31, hid the clingfilm-wrapped drugs in his sandwich filling. He was stopped and searched by security personnel who found his stash between two slices of bread. Fiscal-depute Robbie Brown told Perth Sheriff Court yesterday: “He was stopped at the checkpoint. Security staff saw there was a sandwich bag so opened it up to examine it.”

Scott, of Leith, Edinburgh, admitted possessing the substances on 13 July at Balado Airfield, Kinross, last year.
