Suzanne Pilley police told of Loch Lomond remains

POLICE investigating the death of Suzanne Pilley have been told of the discovery of human remains in Loch Lomond.

Bones were found this week near the edge of Argyll Forest, where last year 70 volunteers tried to find missing Suzanne.

Strathclyde Police are trying to identify the remains, spotted by a passer-by on Wednesday.

Lothian and Borders Police, who headed the hunt for Suzanne's remains, have been informed about the find.

The 38-year-old vanished on her way to work in Edinburgh city centre on May 4 last year.

In June last year, David Gilroy, 48, was released on bail after appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with murder and breach of the peace in connection with the inquiry.
