Suspect in fatal shooting case is released

A MAN arrested in connection with the murder of a notorious gangster in a supermarket car park was released without charge yesterday.

Kevin Carroll, 29, was shot as he sat in the back of an Audi car outside the Asda store in Robroyston, Glasgow, on 13 January.

Strathclyde Police arrested a 30-year-old man on Tuesday and he was expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court this afternoon. Prosecutors said the suspect was released, but the case was ongoing.
