Surgeons come to rescue of stranded travellers

FREE accommodation is being offered to stranded passengers in the Capital from an unlikely source.

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh owns a city centre hotel and is offering space for 100 people.

The prestigious organisation has opened the doors to its Ten Hill Place Hotel off Nicolson Street.

Commercial director Scott Mitchell said: "Rather than profiteering from this difficult situation, we would like to help those who are stranded in our beautiful city."
