Surge in new Capital firms

THE number of new firms set in the Capital has surged.

New data from the city council has revealed that there was a 39.8 per cent rise in the number of firms incorporated in Edinburgh in the year so far.

There were 370 firms launched in July, which brings the total for the year up to 1336. Business Gateway also saw a 41.4 per cent rise in start-ups that it assisted.
