Support for city veterans is heartfelt

SUPPORTERS of the veterans' charity Erskine showed their love for the Capital's ex-service men and women by attending its Valentine's Fayre.

The Erskine Edinburgh Home in Gilmerton hosted the fair earlier this month and raised 1864 towards the care of its veterans.

More than 115 visitors enjoyed everything from home baking to adult and children's tombola.

They also had the chance to enter a Love Hearts raffle draw.

East of Scotland fundraiser, John Fyfe, said: "We are delighted that so many people in the Gilmerton community and beyond showed their love for our veterans at our Valentine's Fayre. Their support for our cause, time and time again, is unwavering. Without it we would not be able to provide care for veterans and serving personnel in Scotland's capital."
