Supermarket customers show they have a heart

SHOPPERS at Waitrose in Comely Bank Road have secured a £570 donation for the British Heart Foundation.

Customers at the store voted for the charity to receive the donation from the supermarket under its Community Matters scheme. The money will go towards BHF's Edinburgh and the Lothians Heart Nurse Appeal.

Fundraising volunteer manager at BHF Scotland, Ffyonna Scott, said: "A big thank you goes to Waitrose and its customers, and to everyone who has supported our appeal."
