Superb show from band

MIDLOTHIAN Schools Percussion Ensemble has scooped a gold award at the Scottish Brass Band Association’s Scottish Youth Championships.

The group performed three pieces including Pop Looks Bach, Rainforest and Winter at Perth Concert Hall.

Judges described the performance as “superb”, with the youngsters beating four other groups.

Members of the ensemble will next be performing at Loanhead Ex-Serviceman’s Club on Thursday at 7.15pm.
