Sun shines as athletes flock to city

COMPETITORS in the paraduathlon enjoyed a sunny start to their event in Holyrood Park yesterday.

The athletes were competing in the 2010 GE Edinburgh ITU Duathlon World Championships, which has attracted almost 1000 of the world's top duathletes to the capital.

The event was kicked off with a parade of nations in Holyrood Park.

The circuit consists of multiple laps around Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat - said to be one of the most challenging ever used on the international circuit.
