Sun goes down on Trust training garden
THE National Trust for Scotland is to sell off The Suntrap Garden at Gogarbank, its first sale as part of a cost-cutting review.
Friends of Suntrap, a local stakeholder group, has been offered first refusal on the gardens.
Terry Levinthal, the trust's director of conservation services, said: "Detailed assessment by our garden and landscape specialists has confirmed that the site has no particular heritage significance. We can find no justification to maintain it."
