Summit addresses culture after crunch

culture and the arts during global belt-tightening will be one of the topics of debate at the Edinburgh International Culture Summit.

With the axe falling on public spending around the world, culture ministers from more than 40 countries will debate the different approaches they are adopting to maintain support for culture.

The summit, to be hosted at the Scottish Parliament on August 13 and 14, will offer participants an opportunity to share views on funding models and discuss how nations can allow creativity to flourish.
