Suicide theory in death of diplomat

A NICARAGUAN diplomat found dead in his New York flat had ingested toilet cleaner, another sign he might have killed himself, a law enforcement official said.

Cesar Mercado, 34, was found after failing to show up for work at Nicaragua's Permanent Mission. He had dozens of stab wounds.
