Sturgeon to visit hospital

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon is to visit the new Midlothian Community Hospital today.

It will be the Bonnyrigg hospital's first fully operational day. The new facility replaces the ageing Rosslynlee, Loanhead and Edenhall hospitals.

The 88-bed hospital provides beds for the elderly, an out-of-hours service, radiography, physiotherapy, podiatry and occupational therapy.

Later, Ms Sturgeon will chair NHS Lothian's annual review at Waverley Gate, Waterloo Place, Edinburgh.
