Sturgeon hails health chiefs

HEALTH Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has praised NHS Lothian following its annual review earlier this month.

She chaired the meeting during which the organisation's performance was assessed and members of the public were able to ask questions.

Health board chairman Dr Charles Winstanley said the feedback he received from her immediately after was encouraging.

"We were held to account vigorously and there were a variety of questions from the floor," he said.

"She was very positive about the day and thanked everyone for their contributions."
