Study paves the way for clean streets

NEIGHBOURHOOD workers in the south of the city are to carry out door-to-door research with residents.

The teams of police, environmental wardens and community safety concierges are to visit one street every week in the Liberton and Gilmerton area.

They will knock on residents' doors or discuss local issues including dog fouling and litter.

Moredun Park Grove is the first street that is being targeted, throughout this week. The information collected will be part of the evidence presented to the Better and Safer Community Group when it makes decisions about what issues it wishes to highlight as a community safety priorities for action.
