Students host charity race night for ERI neonatal unit

A CHARITY race night will raise funds for the neonatal unit at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

A group of event management students is hosting the fundraiser on Saturday from 7.30pm at the Woodburn Miners' Club in Dalkeith.

The event is being organised by Avenue Events on behalf of Lynne Marshall and Graeme McDermott - parents of twin boys Jack and Murray who celebrate their fifth birthdays on February 8. The twins were born prematurely and spent 104 days being cared for by the team at Simpsons Special Care Babies. The fundraiser is a thank-you to the team from the twins and their family.

The race night will be hosted by Tip Top Racing and entertainment will be provided by local ska band The Skababs and a disco afterwards.

Two men, who have already raised 150, will take part in a sponsored chest and back wax.
