Students' gig to raise cash

STUDENTS from Kyrgyzstan have organised a charity gig to raise money for people affected by ethnic violence in their home country.

Indie band Thank You So Nice will play at the Counting House on West Nicholson Street from 6.30pm on Friday and the money raised will go towards the Kyrgyzstan Red Cross, which is helping those affected by the recent outbreak of violence.

Organiser Kanykey Bayalieva-Jailobaeva, said: "We want to do our bit to raise money."
