Students face UCAS deadline

PROSPECTIVE students are facing a race against time if they want to apply for a course starting later this year.

The deadline for UCAS applications for university and college courses beginning in the autumn is Tuesday.

Applications received by 11.59pm on Tuesday are guaranteed to be considered.

John Madden, UCAS social media executive, said: “If you’re applying through a school, make sure that you leave enough time for your tutor to add the reference.”
