Student radio set for launch

STUDENTS at Telford College are getting ready to celebrate the launch of Radio WoW on Monday.

Available to listen online at www.radiowow.co.uk, Radio WoW is the creation of the HNC Creative Industries: Radio staff.

Radio student Callum Gallacher said: "We believe radio broadcasting should involve the input of the listener as much as it involves the input of the producers and presenters - this way giving the people exactly what they want to hear.

"WoW originated from our student handbook, which is entitled Words of Wisdom, so we thought people should listen because it will bring them what they want, when they want.

"It will bring them the music they want, the chat they want and the entertainment they want"

Previous Telford broadcasters have gone on to work in the radio industry at stations such as BBC Radio One, Galaxy Radio, and Borders.
