Streetcar in CC's spotlight

A car-sharing firm which recently moved into the capital is set to be probed by competition bosses.

Streetcar - part of the world's largest car club, Zipcar - launched operations in Edinburgh in May with ten cars spread across the city centre.

The Competition Commission (CC) said Zipcar's acquisition of Streetcar had been referred to it by the Office of Fair Trading.

The CC's report is expected in January.
