Street closed after grenade is found

A STREET was closed off yesterday after the discovery of what is thought to be a Second World War hand grenade. Police were called at around 3:20pm when the device was discovered in Shore Road in Invergordon in the Highlands.

A police spokesman insisted the device posed no danger to anyone in homes inside the cordon or elsewhere.
