Street attack victim named

A PENSIONER who died in hospital a week after he was found injured following a mugging has been named by police.

John Gillespie, 88, was pushed to the ground during what police believe was an attempted robbery in Stirling last Tuesday.

The robber ran off with the man's walking stick.

Officers are treating the case as "assault with intent to rob".
