Streaker hoped to win $1m

A MAN arrested after streaking at a rally held by US President Barack Obama last weekend in Philadelphia was trying to win a $1 million internet challenge, it has emerged.

Police said Juan Rodriguez, 24, of New York City was charged with indecent exposure, public lewdness and disorderly conduct on Sunday.

Internet entrepreneur Alki David, a billionaire, yesterday said that Rodriguez was trying to win $1m he had offered to anyone who could streak in front of the US president with the name of Mr David's competition website on his chest.

Mr David told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he is an Obama fan but streaking is a time-honoured way of getting attention.
