Stray canaries pose a mystery

ANIMAL welfare workers are looking to reunite three stray canaries with their owner.

The three songbirds were picked up from separate addresses in Perth between 13 and 17 January. All three are being cared for at the the Scottish SPCA's rescue and rehoming centre in Dundee, where staff have named them Flip, Chip and Skip.

Assistant manager Lesley Clark said: "The three canaries were all found in the centre of Perth within five days of each other. When we put them in a cage together they got on really well, so we think they may have escaped from the same aviary."
