Story week urges schools to listen with father

DADS are being encouraged to get more involved in their children's education at the first ever Fathers' Story Week.

The Fatherhood Institute has launched the campaign, aimed at primary schools and nurseries in Edinburgh.

Schools can also organise a Bring Your Dad To School Day, with the help of the children's charity Barnardo's.

Rob Williams, chief executive of the Fatherhood Institute, said: "There is a wealth of evidence that children's attainment benefits if their father is involved in their care and education."
