Stolen laptop has private health details on it

A LAPTOP containing sensitive health details about people involved in court cases was stolen from the home of a QC, it has emerged.

The information commissioner revealed the theft of Ruth Crawford’s computer, which was unencrypted, yesterday.

It was taken from her city home in the summer of 2009 but was not reported for more than two years.

It contained details of both physical and mental health records for a number of people.
