Still in their
budget digs

STUDENTS at Edinburgh University are still living in budget hotels more than two weeks after term started.

The 21 freshers have been staying at two Travelodges since September 11 after education chiefs failed to find them permanent accommodation.

James McAsh, the president of Edinburgh University Students’ Association, said: “I’m outraged at the situation.”

A spokesman at the university said: “We genuinely do expect the numbers to drop in the next two weeks. We haven’t received any complaints from students.”
