Stephanie Inglis: Judo fun day to mark return to Scotland

The free event will take place on Saturday 25 June at Edinburgh’s Heriot Watt University
It will be led by Commonwealth gold medallist Euan Burton, and welcomes all ages and grades to come together for an afternoon of sporting fun, taking part in the sport that gave Stephanie the strength to fight any challenge.

Initially organised to raise money to bring Stephanie home, the event has turned into a celebration of support as, thanks to her incredible fighting spirit and the support and donations from people around the world, Stephanie returned to Scotland last Monday 13 June.
Donations will still be welcome from participants and spectators to support Steph’s ongoing rehabilitation, as she faces a tough fight ahead of her.
Stephanie had been in Vietnam teaching underprivileged children for four months when a motorcycle accident left her with critical head injuries and just a 1 per cent chance of survival.
She has since defied the odds and returned to Scotland, where she is now undergoing an intense rehabilitation process.
