Step out for the homeless

A SCENIC walk is to take place to raise money for a city homeless charity.

The Bethany Christian Trust has arranged the event in September to boost funds and hopes for a big turnout.

It will take place on September 11 and take in some of East Lothian's most spectacular sights.

Walkers will have the option of a ten-mile route or a shorter three miles, and dogs are permitted to take part, provided they are kept on a lead.

A spokeswoman for the charity said: "The walk follows the beautiful John Muir Way starting at Cockenzie, making its way to the beach at Gullane."
