Stars speed to the Brits

POP stars will share the stage with a Formula One star at the Brit Awards tonight.

Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole and former world motor-racing champion Lewis Hamilton will share the presenting duties at the country's biggest music event at the O2 Arena in London.

Also handing over prizes at the star-studded event will be Dermot O'Leary and Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and John Taylor.

Among the acts hoping for glory will Tinie Tempah, Mumford And Sons, The xx and Plan B, who lead the field in terms of nominations. Also expected to do well are chart-toppers Take That, who welcomed original member Robbie Williams back in the fold in recent months.
