Star role for Burns statue

A HISTORIC statue of Robert Burns will take centre stage next week.

The statue of Burns and Highland Mary, formerly in Kirkton Park, Bathgate, is being restored after it was vandalised.

Edinburgh-based restorer Graciela Ainsworth will hold a workshop on Monday, from 6pm to 8pm. This will be followed by a sculpture workshop on Tuesday, from 1-4pm. Both events will take place in Bathgate Partnership Centre.
