Standing up for charity

A HOST of Capital comedians are to hold a fundraising night for the Commando Spirit Appeal for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

Susan Calman is hosting the evening at the Stand Comedy Club, on Wednesday, April 18.

The acts, who will perform for free, are all selected from those that appear regularly at the club.

There will also be a raffle and the chance to win prizes including VIP hospitality tickets to T in the Park and dinner for two at Tiger Lily.

Commando Spirit founder Sally-Anne Hunter said: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity by The Stand to be involved in one of their prestigious benefit nights and we are especially grateful to all the acts, including Susan Calman and Jim Park, for giving their time for free.”
