SSPCA ‘bursting at seams’ with cats

REHOMING centres run by the Scottish SPCA are “bursting at the seams” because of a big increase in unwanted and neglected cats.

The charity has had to house more than 2,000 cats and kittens this year. And a lack of people offering new homes has exacerbated the problem. A spokeswoman said almost 1,800 have been given homes.
