Spud shows that Britain's got talons

VISITORS to Holyrood Park were being invited to step back in time on Sunday to discover the ancient sports and outdoor pursuits once practised in the royal hunting ground.

Denise Hare Robertson and her ten-week-old kestrel Spud were among those putting on demonstrations. Historic Scotland ranger Matt McCabe said: "This was an opportunity for visitors to learn about the long heritage of these various activities and their links to Holyrood Park."
