Spot checks for raid clues

POLICE have been stopping motorists and pedestrians near a city centre bank which was held up last week.

Three men, believed to have been dressed in police uniforms, threatened a security guard with what appeared to be a gun during the raid on the NatWest bank in Glasgow’s Blythswood Square.

They launched their attack at about 10:40am on Monday of last week and escaped in a silver Mercedes with an unknown amount of cash.
