A MAN who impaled his neck on a metal spike in the West End has told police from his hospital bed that no-one else was involved in the accident.

Police had been waiting to speak to the 32-year-old to discover how he became impaled on the three-foot railing in Atholl Crescent last Thursday night.

Officers have now spoken to the man and confirmed the incident was “non-suspicious”. He remains in hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
