Spaniels checked over by vet after blaze

A WOMAN was treated for smoke inhalation and three Springer Spaniels were taken to a vets to be checked over after a fire broke out at a home in Linlithgow.

The blaze started in a pan of food in the kitchen of a property on Avontoun Park just before 1pm yesterday.

The woman was checked over at the scene and was given oxygen, but did not attend hospital. The dogs were not injured in the fire and were checked over by a vet as a precaution.

Two fire appliances from Linlithgow and Central Scotland attended the scene.

Firefighters attended another kitchen fire on Carrick Knowe Place in the Capital less than 10 minutes later. A woman was given oxygen at the scene.
