Spa plans at golf complex

A NEW spa facility is set to be built at a £55 million luxury golfing complex after the plans were given a green light by council chiefs.

The spa is set to be created at Archerfield Golf Club, near Dirleton, which features two golf courses.

The proposals, which were submitted to the local authority in November, were approved by council chiefs at a recent meeting.

Plush mansions on the Archerfield Estate cost up to 2m and have access to courses where members include football stars Alan Shearer and Ryan Giggs.
