Spa event yields £4000 fillip for Maggie’s

A SPA evening has made over £4000 for a cancer charity.

Insurance firm Bright Grey staged the fundraising Spa Spectacular recently to provide funds for the Maggie’s Centre at the Western General.

Comedian Craig Hill hosted the event, which was attended by 140 people, at the Ghillie Dhu bar in the West End.

Beauticians were on hand to offer treatments and massages.

A spokeswoman for the firm said: “When someone is diagnosed with a critical illness such as cancer their whole world can fall apart. Sometimes they need more than just medical support and Maggie’s provides vital emotional and practical support for those living with cancer and their families.

“We are delighted that we have been able to support the Edinburgh centre by holding our Spa Spectacular event.”
