Soon-to-be-merged college wants new boss

The job of Edinburgh College of Art principal is being advertised, after the current holder of the post revealed he would retire the day before the institution merges with Edinburgh University.

On 1 August, the two will merge to form a new Edinburgh College of Art within the university. The advert says the new principal will also be vice-principal of the university, with special responsibility for "advising on the creative industries".

The salary is negotiable, but it is likely to be more than 100,000 to reflect the previous holder's salary.
