Soldiers make marathon bid

SOLDIERS from Glencorse Barracks will run a marathon on September 2 to help any members of their unit who are injured on a forthcoming tour of duty in Afghanistan.

The group of 25 from the Royal Highland Fusiliers 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, will complete 102 laps of George Square in Glasgow to raise money for the regimental association White Hackle. Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/andrew- chalmers.
