Soldier's cycle raises £6000

A SOLDIER who lost both his legs in a blast in Afghanistan has raised nearly £6000 for Help for Heroes.

Leith-born Private Paul Lambert, 29, who was injured in Sangin in November last year, set off on an epic cycle ride earlier this week in aid of charity Help for Heroes.

The Arnhem Bike Ride culminates in an annual commemoration in Arnhem tomorrow of those who fought and died in 1944's Operation Market Garden.
