SNP to demand veto on UK bid to leave Europe
The First Minister-in-waiting will launch a six-rally tour of Scotland at the Capital’s Corn Exchange, arguing that if there is a UK referendum on EU membership, any vote to quit should not take effect unless there was a majority in each of its four nations for leaving.
“It would give proper protection against any of the nations of the UK being removed against their will,” she will say.
