Slateford fire: Couple's bitter custody battle

THE bitter custody battle which drove Theresa Riggi into hiding in Edinburgh had seen the children sent to visits with their father equipped with phones and personal alarms.

A court heard that Mrs Riggi objected to her estranged husband, Pasquale, seeing the children. They had argued over issues including schooling as Mrs Riggi was a believer in home schooling.

On Tuesday a Court of Session judge said the children should be supervised by social workers until their parents had settled their bitter divorce battle.
