Skinner 'quits Fringe show'

COMEDIAN Frank Skinner is reported to have pulled out of the Assembly Rooms' Talk Show the day before the first performance.

It is claimed that the comedian cited bad organisation which left too many gaps in the schedule, and that he pulled out of the entire run after a high-profile guest dropped out on Sunday.

The daily lunchtime show at Assembly's Princes Street Gardens venue is due to feature such guests as Alan Cumming, Ardal O'Hanlon, Mel Smith, Steven Berckoff and Jo Brand.

It is understood that Skinner's slot will now be filled by Stephen K Amos for the duration of the run.
