Six people are arrested after £170,000 drugs raids

Six people have been arrested after police seized drugs worth an estimated £170,000 in three separate raids.

Officers entered properties in the Dennistoun and Bridgeton areas of Glasgow at around 7am on Thursday.

They seized drugs believed to be cannabis, cocaine and diazepam tablets, with an estimated street value of £150,000, from a flat in Main Street, Bridgeton.

A 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the recovery.

They also searched a flat in Finlay Drive, Dennistoun, where 1kg of what is believed to be amphetamine, worth an estimated £10,000, was seized, along with equipment.

Two men, both aged 35, were arrested in connection with the discovery.

The third flat searched was in Duke Street, Dennistoun, where a further kilo, again believed to be amphetamine, was recovered.

A 35-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested.
